I decided to join Activ in the first instance to learn how to better ride a road bike; I was keen to make sure I was a competent and courteous cyclist. Not only did I improve my cycling skills, but I came to love the Activ philosophy and approach to training. The targeted training sessions and indoor ‘compu’ trainers are simply fantastic and have improved my fitness and strength immeasurably. I know that I could not have improved to the extent that I have without this kind of training regime.
Activ offers something for all cyclists, at whatever level. You can work at your own pace and to your own goals. It is encouraging and also comforting to know that whatever you decide you want to achieve, you will have the support and expert guidance of Sheree and Cameron. They work tirelessly to support their members. Other essential support is also available and I have benefited a great deal from seeing Peta about my diet so I fuel my body properly and know what and how much to eat to aid my recovery after long rides. It doesn’t mean I always eat the right things, but at least I know what I am supposed to be eating!
I have made some terrific friends at Activ. It is so nice to spend time with people who enjoy cycling as much as you do. I still have a long way to go to improving my cycling and I know I will be able to achieve all of my goals with the support of Activ.
